You will have opportunities to expand your knowledge of philosophy through student organizations and activities sponsored by the department such as the Great Ideas Discussion Group.

The department also sponsors Philosophy in Action Conferences which in the past have focused on such interesting and controversial topics as justice, medical ethics, religious experience, feminism, and euthanasia.
