Subscribing to lists

To subscribe to a list, send a message in one of the following formats to listproc@lists.indstate.edu:
SUBSCRIBE list-name personal-name or SUB list-name personal-name or JOIN list-name personal-name
example: SUBSCRIBE FOCUS-L John Doe

Removing oneself from lists

To get off a list, send a message in one of the following formats to listproc@lists.indstate.edu:
UNSUBSCRIBE list-name or UNSUB list-name or SIGNOFF list-name
example: UNSUBSCRIBE FOCUS-L John Doe

Posting messages to a list

To post a message to a list of which you are a member, simply compose your message using your favorite e-mail client and address it to list-name@lists.indstate.edu, where list-name is the e-mail name of your list, for example, FOCUS-L@lists.indstate.edu.

Postponing list e-mail when on vacation

To stop getting mailings from a list when you are not using your e-mail system for a while, send a message in the following format to listproc@lists.indstate.edu:
SET list-name mail postpone
