And the journey begins. We met at school that morning and tensions were high. I found Beth as soon as I got there, and that is when I first met Big Bertha. Big Bertha was introduced along with Mini Bertha and Biggin. In case you don't remember those students on the trip, it's because they were our suitcases. Beth brought two huge suitcases, Big Bertha and Mini, while Biggin was mine. Enough about the suitcases for now, I'm sure there will be some later. So we get on the vans, a little nervous but very excited. I think we were nervous just because what if we didn't get there or something went wrong. The tensions were high and the group was wild. Once we started our journey, Todd and I became engrossed in a very competitive game of A-Z highway. I lost at the last minute because of not finding a V but really nobody made all the way through to Z!!

So we got to the airport and checked in, everything was still running smoothly. Meeting up with our friends just made everyone that much more hyper and excited. We were all ready to be in Europe, letting loose and exploring the world. But for the next 15 hours, we will have to settle for airplanes and airports!

The plane ride was good but a bummer since we didn't get to sit by everyone, which was probably ok since we will be spending the next 10 days together. I ended up sitting by Patty Wacker (Pat) on the plane then Bethy for the last part of the trip. We ate some food that was a little scary but at least we knew what it was...more details explaining that later!
