Dr. O'Laughlin earned her master's and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, and minor in Counseling Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in l993. She is the director of the ADHD Research Clinic, housed in the ISU Psychology Clinic. The ADHD Clinic provides assessment and treatment services for referred children and adolescents and also provides opportunities for training and research in ADHD for graduate and undergraduate students.  In addition to assessment and treatment of ADHD, research interests include parenting issues and developmental psychology.

Dr. O'Laughlin is a licensed Psychologist in the State of Indiana and does clinical work with children, adolescents and their families on a part-time basis through the Faculty Practice Plan at the ISU Psychology Clinic.  She teaches several first year classes in the Psy.D. program including Foundations of Psychotherapy and Projective Assessment and also teaches a child therapy elective course.
