Construction Updates

Our new Recreational Center is being built right now. Below is a representation of what it will look like
at completion. Below that, are pictures of our construction site. As the project progresses, we
will put up pictures more frequently. SCROLL DOWN to see our progress since we broke ground!

This drawing shows a view from the southwest. The construction cam is on an east orientation.

Jan. 25, 2008 - Roof trusses are nearly completed for north/south orientation.
East/west trusses for fitness center will start when pool is further advanced on opposite side.
Future pictures will probably come from west side, a view from atop Lincoln Quad.

Jan. 7, 2008 - View shows vertical steel beams going up along sides of
main gymnasium running north (to right side and top of picture). Left side of picture
shows main entrance and administrative wing on first floor
and three studios on second floor.

Dec. 18, 2007 - Steel going up! Steel beams can be seen erected at the southeast corner
and main entrance on the south face of the new Student Recreation Center.
This portion holds the main entrance, administrative offices and juice bar on the first floor
and the three fitness studios on the second floor.

Dec. 3, 2007 - This shows final phase of excavation work. The pool outline can
easily be seen and gravel sub-base has been laid over most of project.
Steel delivered next week!

Nov. 14, 2007  - Most footers have been poured and you can see the column pads.
The pool surge tank can be seen in the upper middle.

Oct. 22, 2007 - Workers are backfilling trenches used to pour footers.
Column bases can be seen throughout.

Oct. 11, 2007
Wow, look at 'em go!

Sept. 21, 2007 - On the top left corner they continue to dig the pool, and
you can see footers dug with plumbing drain pipes visible.

Aug. 23, 2007 - The crew begins to dig the hole for our swimming pool mechanical room!
