IIn order to meet your campus dining

a meal plan, or if you would like to make a change
to the plan you have already selected, simply contact

| Advantage
Plan |
The Advantage
Plan provides dining services for the typical
student. The Advantage Plan is based on 77
Credits per week and $6.00 per week in Commons
Cash. The Advantage Plan is required of all residence
hall students. In the Sycamore and Lincoln
Resident Dining Halls each meal has an "admission
price." Present
your ID to the checker and your account is
reduced by the number of Campus Credits for
the meal.
- Admission Prices
Breakfast 6 Credits | Lunch
8 Credits | Dinner 11 Credits
In the Commons, you present your card at the
cash register. The cashier will total your
purchases and deduct that amount from your
Commons cash account. On the weekend, you have
the option to use your Credits at all locations
except Mark Pi, Georges, Campus Cupboard, and
Coffee Grounds. Simply tell the cashier that
you wish to use Credits and the cash register
will change your dollar total to a Credit total.
A credit, used for weekend purchases, is equivalent
to approximately $.50.
Campus Credit and Commons Cash balance are
always available from the checker or cashier.
Advantages to this plan
- Excess Campus Credits convert to Commons
Cash (at .17 per credit).
- Campus Credits
and Commons Cash balances carry over from
year to year as long as you continue to
live on campus and complete and submit to
the University, prior to the last day of
Spring finals, a Residence Hall Contract
Addendum and a Housing Survey form, indicating
an intent to reside in University residence
halls during the following semester.

| Advantage Options |
There are three add-on options, which may be purchased before the semester begins. The add-ons are not required as part of the basic Advantage Plan. They are designed for students who eat more than the average number of meals, or who use their meal card to purchase snacks in the commons instead of paying with cash. The three options are:
Commons Advantage |
Combo Advantage |
Credit Advantage |
- Offers additional $10.50 of Commons Cash per week.
- Add $ 357.00 per year to the cost of the Advantage Plan.
|
- Offers additional 19 credits per week and $3.50 Commons Cash per week.
- Add $228.82 per year to the cost of the Advantage Plan.
|
- Offers additional 27 credits per week.
- Add $156.06 per year to the cost of the Advantage Plan.
|
Changing the Advantage Meal Options
The advantage options are contracted for the entire academic year, but, like the Credits and Commons Cash, are only billed and posted to the Student’s account by the semester. If a student wishes to discontinue his option for the Spring Semester, he/she may fill out a request to change the option at the Dining Services Office located adjacent to Residential Life in the lower level of Mills Hall. This request must be completed by the Friday of Fall Semester finals.
Individuals may add an advantage option for the Spring Semester at the Residential Life office. This must be done before the beginning of the Spring Semester Classes. |
