RN-BS track - baccalaureate nursing
admission criteria
students entering with RN licensure
Admission is competitive
MUST HAVE the following
- Access to a computer and be able to create, submit,
and retrieve documents and documentation electronically
- Earned associate degree with a major in nursing from
a program accredited by the National League for Nursing
Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC) in an accredited
collegiate institution.
- Application of a graduate from an
accredited diploma program or an
associate degree program that is not
accredited will be evaluated through
Admission Portfolio review.
- Active RN licensure
- Continual compliance (whether in nursing courses or
not) throughout RN-BS track with
- unrestricted RN licensure
- CPR certification
- proof of negative TB status
- professional liability insurance

- annual bloodborne pathogen training
- Step 1 - Unconditional admission to
the University as a degree-seeking student
- Step 2 - Complete
application to the nursing program
- Mail all pages of the application
and worksheet with supporting documents:
- Step 3 - Required supporting
documents to be mailed with nursing application
- Copy of
CPR
Healthcare Provider
Card
- Copy front and
signed
back
- Step 4 - May be admitted
conditionally to the RN-BS track
- Will be notified, by e-mail, of
conditional acceptance
- Formal admission pending
receipt/verification of licensure no
later than the time of enrollment in the
first clinical nursing course
