Pre-Medicine Requirements

Students who identify as Pre-Medical are indicating that they plan  to apply to medical schoolThe Pre-Professional Advisor helps students  develop a strategy for completing pre-requisites, identifying an appropriate departmental major, and navigating the application process. Students will select a major field of study (degree program) during the second or third semester of study.  A Faculty Advisor will then be assigned to help students develop a plan to meet ISU degree requirements for that major.

Required for Admission to *Indiana University School of Medicine:

     ●Chemistry 105, 105L, 106, 106L, 351, 351L, 352, 352L

     ●Biology 101, 101L, 102, 102L

     ●Physics 105, 105L, 106, 106L

               *Please check required coursework for each
                medical school to which you plan to apply. 

Additional Requirements:

     90 semester credit hours
               *Most students complete a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree
                 before matriculating to Medical School.
