Panhellenic Association

ISU's sorority population is made up of women from from all walks of life. Greek women serve as: leaders, musicians, scholarship-sponsored athletes, President's Scholars, ROTC, and countless other clubs, organizations, and honors. They encompass ISU's 9 sororities.

Sororities are national or international sisterhoods with chapters at accredited colleges and universities. As extended family units, sororities offer warm, caring atmospheres which encourage individual development. This sisterhood lasts long after the collegiate days are over. Alumnae women continue to stay involved in their local alumnae chapters and/or serve as advisors to collegiate chapters. Sororities truly "span a lifetime".

Why are these things important? The number one thing CEO's of major Fortune 500 companies are looking for is an appreciation for differences. Not only will you be an employee who will be multi-experienced, but you will have the skills to interact with people from different backgrounds, cultures, and religions.

Why should I join a sorority?

Why shouldn't you? College is one the foremost opportunities a woman can have to prepare themselves for life. Joining a sorority makes that experience whole. Joining a sorority will be right for you if you want to:
