SYCAMORE UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (SURF) AWARD
The Sycamore Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Award will enable students to work alongside faculty in hands-on research. The three featured research areas are community sustainability, genomic advocacy, and health, wellness, and life enrichment. Students from Indiana with a 3.5 cumulative GPA and 1000 SAT (combined math and critical reading) or 22 ACT (composite) are invited to apply to attend an on-campus competition in February. Ten scholarship recipients will be awarded up to $4,000.00 for their fall 2013 semester.
* Students selected for this award will receive a $2,500.00 merit-based scholarship at the beginning of the fall semester applied to their student account. Up to an additional $1,500.00 can be earned by doing hands-on research. A typical research experience would require 10-15 hours weekly.
