SENCER Activities

SENCER is based on the belief that college students can take what they learn in their classrooms and by focusing on real-world problems and using a hands-on approach, they can help in solving community problems.

Components of SENCER are represented in classes all across the ISU campus.

ISU students from almost any major can find a variety of classes offering hands-on learning to address real-world problems.

Special guests, who are experts in a variety of issues important to society and the environment, are also brought to campus as part of the SENCER program to present speeches and discussions on topics that include the impact of globalization on the world’s food supply and the cultural and economic choices involved in food consumption.
