Student Support Services Program
The Student Support Services Office provides programming and resources for eligible first-generation, low-income, and/or students with learning or physical disabilities. The federally funded program is designed to help students who feel they may need particular academic supports in order to successfully complete course work. Individual and group sessions are offered throughout the academic year in reading, writing, math, and counseling. Our staff members will work with you to select courses and/or refer you to other offices as needed. They can also provide academic and career counseling as well as support with virtually any aspect of university life.
Additionally, the staff often serves as liaisons between students and faculty members. They will help to introduce students to the university environment and policies, increase their awareness of their own capabilities, and encourage students to create their own support environments. Special sections of English are also offered for Support Services Program students.
