Today's students, Tomorrow's leaders!
What is SGA?
The Student Government Association is organized as a representative
democracy. Under this system, your views as a student can be expressed
whether by you or your representative to all other SGA members. SGA is
divided into three branches; Executive, Legislative, and Judicial, with
each having its respective duties, as well as the responsibility of
working among each other to serve students that help comprise the ISU
community.
Our mission is to represent Indiana State
University students by anticipating and meeting the needs of our fellow
students. To provide the leadership for continuing improvement and
implementation of student-driven programs designed to achieve awareness,
unity, and pride for Indiana State University.
Get involved!
The Student Government Association is looking for students to get
involved in many different areas. Students may apply to be a Senator or
sit on a University Committee. The best way to get the most out of the
college experience is to take advantage of the opportunities available
to you, the student. Just by being a student at ISU, you are a member of
SGA. The services the SGA provides for you, remain the same-it doesn't
matter if you are a first semester freshman or a fifth year senior.
