Dianna Cooper-Bolinskey brings extensive practice experience to the educational setting. She is currently licensed as an LCSW, an LCAC, and a School Social Worker in Indiana; she maintains an inactive LCSW license in Virginia. In addition, she is credentialed as ACSW through NASW. Ms. Cooper-Bolinskey was a Title IV-E recipient and began her career with the Virginia Department of Social Services as a foster care social worker. She has also served as a medical social worker at the University of Virginia Medical Center, a school social worker for Green County (VA) public schools, an agency-based mental health care provider for the Department of Veterans Affairs, and maintains a private practice. In addition to her practical experience, Ms. Cooper-Bolinskey has worked in higher education, serving as the Associate Director for Experiential Learning at Indiana State University and as Program Coordinator and Instructor for the University of Southern Indiana’s hybrid MSW program in Terre Haute. She has also provided clinical supervision for those in the licensure process, supervised students in placement, and has served as a field instructor for students in practicum placement. |
Ms. Cooper-Bolinskey has completed certification in CBT, and the PAIRS Foundation Professional Certification Training. Dianna has completed the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center's Leadership Development Program, and an 8-course program in National Social Work Leadership through the Veteran's Administration.
She has been a member of NASW for several years and currently is the Region 9 NLIC representative. In addition, she served on the Advisory Board for ISU's Department of Social Work prior to joining the faculty. She has offered multiple presentations on ethical decision making, supervising students in internships, and developing internship programs.
Research interests include ethical practice, women's issues, and veteran mental health treatment.
