The Indiana Deafblind Services Project is a statewide service authorized under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEIA). It is administered by the Blumberg Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in Special Education at Indiana State University. The Project's goal is to improve the quality of educational services available to Indiana's infants, toddlers, children, and youth with deafblindness.

Project Information: Learn more about the Project and its mission.

Definition of Deafblindness: Learn more about deafblindness and who qualifies for services from our project.

Making Referrals: Register students on the Indiana Deafblind Census so that the families and the student's teachers can receive services from our project.

Technical Assistance: Request assistance from the project in the form of information, resources, training and on-site consultation.

For Families: Check out information just for families of children who are deafblind.

Loan Library Visit the Project's loan library to see what's new! This library has over 600 books, videotapes and other items specific to children who have deafblindness and/or other multiple disabilities.

Training Materials: Access training modules on topics specific to deafblindness or instructions, resources and references for practical ideas to use at home or in the classroom.

Newsletters: Find your favorite Project newsletter in either .pdf or text files.

Products: Find out about books, videotapes and multimedia packages developed by the Project, including instructions on how to download or order them.

Resources: Resources for the best information on teaching students who are deafblind and may have other multiple disabilities.

Advisory Committee: Meet the members of the Deafblind Project Advisory Committee.

Chat Rooms: Use our chat rooms where you can hold discussions on important issues with other families or teachers who work with students who are deafblind.

Conferences and Workshops: Check out the upcoming workshops and conferences for service providers and families of children and youth who are deafblind.

Discussion Lists: Join one or more of our email discussion groups where you can ask questions, talk with other parents, share teaching strategies and discuss important issues with other families, teachers and service providers who work with students who have dual sensory impairments.
