Understanding is the key to helping children, their parents, and their teachers deal with the perplexing problem of Reading Disabilities. Our website is designed to help parents and professionals assist children in overcoming their reading problems. P.G. Aaron, Ph.D., our primary author and a noted researcher, has crafted this site to assist parents and educators achieve a better understanding of reading disabilities and gain insight into the concepts, materials, and issues in the teaching of reading to children. The persistent reader of this website will gain a clearer understanding of the reading process, reading disabilities and remediation, and will find they are better able to communicate with educators. This Website on reading disabilities has been developed and is maintained by the Blumberg Center for Special Education, Indiana State University, Terre Haute, IN.
