The Indiana Reading First website, maintained by the Department of Education of the State of Indiana, provides useful information about their programs, especially as they relate to the "No Child Left Behind" act. It provides the names of offices to contact for additional grants information. It will be helpful for teachers and school administrators for keeping informed of the developments at the school level. It also provides a link to DIBELS.

This website includes lesson plans for teaching reading that were submitted by teachers. Lessons for all age levels are included. In addition, it contains "Chat Board", "Chat Center", and "Chat Room", all of which can be used to send and receive information. For example, a teacher may post questions such as "How do you teach clauses and phrases ?" or may solicit pen pals for her fifth grade class. Other teachers respond to such queries. This website also contains information not directly related to reading instruction.

This website describes California Content Standards by presenting which skills are expected from K through 12 in the area of word recognition, comprehension, and writing. In addition, it provides teachers with a systematic framework for implementing phoneme awareness and phonics activities for K through 3. Lesson plans and ideas in the areas of word analysis, fluency, systematic vocabulary development, and reading comprehension are presented. Lessons and links to further resources are included for grades K-3.

It provides tips, lesson plans, worksheets, and practice tests. Reading comprehension assignments have printable worksheets arranged according to grades. It also has word lists.
