Application Instructions

You will be considered for graduate Degree Seeking admission based on the following criteria:

Your admission is evaluated based on the strength of your application. It should be noted that some academic units may have higher and/or additional admissions requirements. Indiana State University grants regular, conditional, provisional admissions status.

Below are the steps you need to follow to complete your Degree Application process:

  1. Apply Online or Download Print Application

  2. All admissions materials should be sent in a single packet to the graduate admissions. Please note, your application packet will NOT include TOEFL and GRE scores as this information will be submitted by the testing service, ETS, directly to ISU.

  3. A non-refundable check, money order, Visa Card, Master Card, U.S $35.00 exactly must accompany the application form, payable to Indiana State University. Your application cannot be evaluated until the fee has been received. Returning ISU students in no more than two years will be exempt from the $35.00 application fee.

  4. Official undergraduate and or/ graduate transcripts demonstrating successful completion of a baccalaureate degree program (i.e., a bachelor's degree or higher) to the graduate admissions in the same packet. Academic records for all universities attended must be received in English and the native language.

  5. Provide on the application for admission a complete educational history from secondary school or your 13th year through the highest level of education completed. Failure to list all institutions attended and the dates of attendance could result in dismissal.

  6. TOEFL with minimum score of 550 (paper examination), a 213 (computer based examination); Please click Exempt Countries to view a list of Exempt Countries
    OR 6.5 in (International English Language Testing System) IELTS
    OR successful completion of intensive language training available through INTERLINK Language Center if the TOEFL score is less than 550
    OR Official transcript showing an earned undergraduate or graduate degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States; or GRE scores with a minimum score of 440 in verbal

  7. GMAT(MBA required)

  8. Statement of Intent

  9. Recommendation Letters

  10. Signature form (for online applicants only)

  11. Affidavit of Financial Support

  12. Any additional application materials required by your department.

  13. All applicants for the Psy.D. program or the M.A./M.S. in psychology should visit the Department of Psychology website and/or contact the program coordinators prior to submitting an application.

  14. Applicants are responsible for completing a timely application. Please check with your Academic Department, as they might have earlier deadlines. The College of Graduate and Professional Studies is not responsible for delays caused by mailing services.
