2007 – 2008 SPARKETTE WORKSHOPS/AUDITIONS
WORKSHOPS:
Arena Dance Rooms (B-92 and B-93) at 4th and Chestnut Streets
April 26th Saturday 8:00 a.m. –11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
AUDITION:
April 26th Saturday 5:00 p.m.
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance at the TWO workshops in their entirety are Mandatory for Auditions.
There will be no exceptions. All audition material will be taught and reviewed at these practices.
AUDITION ATTIRE:
Dancers: Black jazz pants & solid color bra top or midriff/sports top are Mandatory.
Color Guard: Black jazz pants & solid color leotard or midriff/sports top are Mandatory.
ALL MUST HAVE DANCE SHOES-NO TENNIS SHOES
NO EXCEPTIONS. YOU WILL NOT BE ALOWED TO AUDITION WITHOUT PROPER DANCE SHOES
ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:
Application and admission to ISU and in good academic standing. Each member must carry 12 credit hours/semester during the school year and must be enrolled in the Sparkette class.
DANCE TEAM REQUIREMENTS:
1) Dance Routines: Kick and Jazz - Funk/Hip Hop
2) Technical Skills Assessment
3) Marching/Pom Sequence
4) Projection and Overall Performance Ability
5) Interview
COLOR GUARD REQUIREMENTS:
1) Marching Sequence
2) Flag Fundamentals
3) Basic Dance Fundamentals
4) Projection and Overall Performance Ability
