Feature Twirler Auditions
Minimum Requirements:
-Vertical 4 spins
-Horizontal 3 spins
-Toss illusions (forward and reverse)
-Multiple Baton Combinations
-Advanced understanding of bodywork and dance combinations (kicks, leaps, turns, etc.)
-Field Tricks (toss cartwheel, somersault, walkover, etc.)
Audition Timeline:
Audition Material
Consisting of a video recording (DVD/VHS) demonstrating twirling abilities and full length routine (2-3 minutes) and completed twirler application. The video should have a clear image and high quality audio of the performance in a DVD or VHS format.
Invitation for in person audition:
Ample time will be given for twirler to make travel arrangements to come to the Indiana State University campus for a live audition.
The audition will be in April. Twirler will receive notice on a time and date to arrive.
The day will consist of two portions: 2-3 minute choreographed routine to pre-recorded music incorporating one, two, or three batons. The routine should be compatible to use on the field. And an interview session. Each applicant will take part in a 10 minute interview at the conclusion of the audition.
