Changes to the environment and people within that environment are ever-present and a part of the lived experience.  Bandura referred to the phenomenon of “reciprocal determinism,” which states that individuals change as a result of interaction with their environment and that the environment changes as a result of the actions of individuals. Changes in both the environment and the people within it trigger changes in behavior and with those changes, normative or "average" behaviors can be expected.

The UniLOA National Database stores raw data collected from all authorized administrations of the instrument. Through the use of statistical software and data storage capabilities, national norms can be computed at any time, which introduces the concept of "dynamic norming"  which provides the capability of "real-time" norming.
