The University offers a Summer Science Camp for elementary school children.
The camp is open to children who will be enrolled in grades K-6 next academic year

Children who enroll in the camp will be divided into 2 to 4 groups according to next year's grade level.

About the Camp Instructors
- The camp is sponsored by the ISU Center for Science Education. Elementary education students,
in the process of completing the Center's science methods course, will serve as the instructors of
the camp.
- The student instructors will be supervised and mentored by licensed teachers employed by the
Center for Science Education specifically to help with the camp. Additional direction and
supervision will be provided by Dr. Eulsun Seung, who will be teaching the Center's science methods course.
Additional information
- While summer science camp is in session, children should be dropped off in a central location between
7:45 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. each morning. Children will then be escorted by the University students to their
campus classroom in the Science Building. Any child arriving after 8:00 a.m. will need to be escorted
to the Science Building by a parent.
- Beginning at 8:00 a.m., the children will be involved in a pre-camp activity.
The regular camp sessions will begin each day at approximately 8:20 a.m.
-
The children will be returned to the same central location (as the morning drop-off)
between 11:50 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. for pick-up by the parents.
