On March 12th, Dr. Gerald W. Cockrell was awarded the high status of Honorary Doctor from St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation (SUAI) in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Dr. Cockrell is a professor in the College of Technology and has taught at ISU since 1977. Dr. Cockrell is a senior member of the International Society of Automation (ISA) and he currently serves as the 2009 President. ISU and SUAI have enjoyed a collaborative relationship and exchange of activities over the years. Dr. Cockrell has taught several online classes for SUAI.
