Indiana State University's College of Technology is a national leader in providing a quality education in a broad range of technologies. Through it's departments, the school's academic programs combine theory, managerial skills, and laboratory experiences to provide technology students with the knowledge and training required by business, industry, government, and education. You will have the opportunity to choose from over 20 majors, minors, or
endorsements. All programs are designed to prepare you to become a professional
manager, supervisor, instructor, pilot, teacher, or technician. Laboratories are
representative of current technology and the faculty maintains close contacts
with professionals in the field to ensure the maintenance of state-of-the-art
technical expertise. The College of Technology has gained national stature
through accreditation by organizations such as the
National Association of
Industrial Technology, the
American Council for Construction Education. Activities
Your classroom and laboratory experiences are enhanced by an extraordinary
variety of extracurricular activities and organizations sponsored by the
departments. These organizations consist of student chapters of national
associations including the National Association of Industrial Technology, the
Associated General Contractors of America, the International Organization for
Packaging Professionals, and several honoraries that recognize outstanding
scholarship and leadership. A close working relationship exists between the
school and professional organizations and frequently leads to the development of
advisory councils which help develop curriculum, work with student groups to
provide leadership, and sponsor workshops, lectures, and conferences on the
Indiana State campus.
