Braxton H. Duvall Memorial Scholarship in Industrial Technology Education
Awarded By Department of Industrial Technology Education through the Indiana State University Foundation
Scholarship Requirements Full-time technology education major at Indiana State University; top one-third of high school senior class; recommendation from high school faculty or principal-high moral character; personal interview by Departmental Committee if necessary. Scholarship will be for one academic year unless the recipient looses his or her eligibility through withdraw or dismissal. If the recipient continues in good standing with the University, the scholarship may be renewed up to three successive academic years. Available to both men and women.

Awarded By Department of Industrial and Mechanical Technology
Scholarship Requirements Scholarships are awarded to student members of the Society. Recipients may be entry level or advanced packaging students depending on which type of scholarship the Society chooses to present. Students should have an above-average academic performance, as well as participation in professional and social activities. Students should demonstrate a professional attitude, also.

Dennis J. Hunter Memorial Scholarship
Awarded By Department of Aerospace Technology through the Indiana State University Foundation
Scholarship Requirements The recipient must be enrolled in the professional pilot program at Indiana State University and have a grade point average of 2.5 or higher. The recipient must hold a private pilot's certificate and be working on an advanced certificate or rating. Preference will be given to candidates pursuing a multi-engine rating and flight instructors certificate. Evidence of enthusiasm for the aviation industry and personal financial need will be considered in making the selection. The scholarship award is to be applied toward flight fees.

Harry E. Smith Memorial Scholarship
Awarded By Department of Industrial Technology Education through the Indiana State University Foundation
Scholarship Requirements Scholarship awarded to students from Washington High School, Washington, Indiana, attending or proposing to attend Indiana State University and who are enrolled or proposing to be enrolled as full-time students majoring in technology education. In the event that there are no students from said Washington High School, then the ITE Scholarship Committee shall have the right to award the scholarship to any student from the state of Indiana. Every recipient of a scholarship must be of high moral character, have need for financial aid in pursuing his or her education, and have achieved an academic standing in the upper one-fourth of his or her class or other academic group with which the recipient completed his or her college preparatory training. Each scholarship shall be for one academic year unless terminated sooner by the recipients' withdrawal or dismissal from the University. As long as a recipient of the scholarship maintains a passing grade point average and continues in good standing at the University, the recipient's scholarship may be renewed for successive academic years not to exceed a total of four (4) academic years.

Jeffrey Hardaway Memorial Scholarship in Aerospace Technology
Awarded By Department of Aerospace Technology through the Indiana State University Foundation
Scholarship Requirements Applicant must have an enthusiastic attitude toward an aerospace major and an aviation career. He/she must have completed between 48 and 112 hours to be eligible for nomination and have over 62 completed hours to receive the scholarship. Recipient must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 in the major. He/she must be a full-time student, 12 hours or more, before and after the issuance of the award. The money must be applied to academic fees at Indiana State University. Final determination will be based on the financial need of eligible aerospace majors.

Scholarship Requirements The recipient should be a deserving student at Indiana State University who is enrolled in the Department of Aerospace Technology. The applicant must have completed at least 62 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher with a major GPA of 3.0 or above. The applicant must be a full-time student.

Awarded By Department of Manufacturing and Construction Technology through the Indiana State University Foundation.
Scholarship Requirements Any student graduating from the Vigo or adjacent counties' public schools. The student must graduate in the upper 50 percent of his/her graduating class. Priority shall be given to female students. The student must enroll in the College of Technology, Indiana State University, in one of the following non-teaching technology curricula:
  • Manufacturing Technology
  • Mechanical Technology
  • Packaging Technology
  • Automotive Technology
  • Graphic Arts Management
  • Construction Technology
  • Computer-Integrated Manufacturing
  • Any new curricula added by the IMT or MCT Departments.

Scholarship Requirements
  • Indiana State University students who have chosen a major area of study in the College of Technology.
  • Member or dependents of a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 157, or the Wabash Valley Mechanical Contractors Association. (If no applicants are available from this group, then the scholarship is open to all students in the College of Technology.)
  • Students must have completed the freshman year (24-semester hour minimum), and must have demonstrated academic ability to succeed in the University.
  • Funds received must be used in pursuit of educational objectives at Indiana State University.
  • Students must be full-time (enrolled in 12 semester hours or more).
  • Awards will be made on the basis of achievement.

Scholarship Requirements Applicants must have an enthusiastic attitude toward an aerospace major and an aviation career. Must be a full-time aerospace student with a FAA private pilot certificate and be a freshman or sophomore upon application. Candidates must have a grade point average above 2.7 with a minimum of 3.0 in the major. Financial need will be considered. Recipient must pursue the FAA commercial pilot certificate or beyond.

Scholarship Requirements The recipients shall be Indiana State University students enrolled in the College of Technology who are preparing for a teaching career. In addition, the recipients should demonstrate a financial need and be working to assist themselves financially. They should have completed at least 60 hours toward a baccalaureate degree. It is preferred that the recipients be graduates of high schools located in either Parke, Fountain, or Allen counties in Indiana. This scholarship may be renewed.

Graduate Assistantships for Students Working on a Master's Degree
Awarded By Each department in the College of Technology receives a graduate assistantship allocation
Scholarship Requirements
  • An overall undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale OR
  • A combined score of 1,000 or higher on the verbal and quantitative sections of the General Tests of the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) with minimum scores of 400 on both the verbal and quantitative sections, or an equivalent score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) OR
  • A graduate grade point average of 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale must be maintained. A minimum of five hours of graduate work must be taken each semester or term of appointment.
  • International Students: International students may be considered for appointment as indicated above and must demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English to the satisfaction of the School of Graduate Studies.

No appointment can be awarded until the student has been admitted to the School of Graduate Studies and to the appropriate department.

University Fellowships for Students Working on a Doctoral Degree
Awarded By Each department in the College of Technology receives a graduate assistantship/fellowship allocation
Scholarship Requirements A student holding admission to a Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree program is eligible for consideration for appointment as a University Fellow under the following conditions:
  • All admission standards for his/her program in terms of undergraduate GPA, GRE scores, and graduate GPA are met. (In the case in which the undergraduate GPA is below the minimum requirement for the particular program, one may substitute the GRE Advanced Test if he/she scores at the 50th percentile or above.) In the case in which an admission requirement has been obviated for admission to a program, one can become eligible for a graduate assistant appointment if one meets the standards for a graduate assistant appointment.
  • A student who does not qualify as a University Fellow initially can become eligible to become a University Fellow if he/she attains a grade point average of 3.7 or higher on 15 semester hours of graduate work at Indiana State University subsequent to admission to a doctoral program.
    A graduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale must be maintained. A minimum of five hours of graduate work must be taken each semester or term of appointment.
  • International Students: International students may be considered for appointment as indicated above and must demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English to the satisfaction of the School of Graduate Studies.

No appointment can be awarded until the student has been admitted to the School of Graduate Studies and to the appropriate department.
