COT ADVISORY BOARDS
The primary purpose of Advisory Boards for academic programs is to provide validation of program content. The Board is a representative sample of organizations
that employ graduates and provide assistance to the programs in establishing, achieving, and assessing the goals, content, educational objectives and outcomes.
They also provide direction to the program regarding the current and future trends in the competencies needed by graduates. All accreditation bodies, ATMAE, TAC-ABET, etc.
require the program to have and actively utilize Advisory Boards in order to achieve program accreditation.
