College of Technology
Utilization of Funds
Gifts to the Dean's Society will be used
to support several important needs:
Scholarships:
The Dean's Society will help fund student
scholarships which represent an investment
for the future. These scholarships allow
academically talented and deserving students
to pursue an education in technology. Their
continued development and education as part
of technologically-oriented work force is
critical to Indiana and the nation's ability
to remain competitive in a global
marketplace.

Program Support: Gifts to the
Dean's Society will allow technology students to broaden their educational
experiences by participating in professional conferences, seminars, and
workshops. These out-of-classroom experiences will enable students to gain
insights and knowledge about practical applications of technology that will be
necessary to meet future challenges in the field.
Faculty Support: The pace of
technological change is rapid, and in order for faculty to keep pace with
developments in their respective fields of expertise and, in turn , maintain
relevancy in their classroom teaching, they need to attend conferences ,
seminars, and workshops. The Dean's Society will afford faculty the opportunity
to pursue such endeavors.
Equipment: Technology changes
so quickly that today's state-of-the-art equipment quickly becomes outdated. To
ensure that state-of-the-art equipment is available for students and faculty,
the Dean's Society will help to purchase new computers and laboratory equipment
necessary to keep our programs at the forefront of professional education.
