COT Student Organizations
The College of Technology is proud of its student organizations which offer opportunities for students to develop leadership and other professional skills while building networks within their chosen field. The student organizations are connected to specific career fields or professional interests. The listing below provides a brief description of each organization. Click on the name of the organization to learn more about the mission, current officers, meetings, events, and national affiliations.
Alpha Eta Rho serves to actively associate the interested students of the aviation with the leaders and executives in the industry. This close association, strengthened through the bonds of an international aviation fraternity, establishes opportunities for every member in his relation to the aviation and inspires interest and cooperation among those in the profession who are also members of Alpha Eta Rho.
An organization that helps current Safety Management students and related majors understand the world of safety before actually entering the real working environment
Construction Club (CNST)
To provide further knowledge for students outside of the classroom, provide contacts with AGC, AIC, & NAHB Local, State, and National Chapters and their events, provide social and professional interaction between technology students and faculty, and to provide professional and beneficial interaction between students and construction related companies and personnel.

Fashion and Merchandising Association (FMA)
Fashion Merchandising Association is a student member section that provdies professional growth opportunities by arranging speaking engagements with individuals in the fashion, textile, and apparel industry, sponsoring professional activities and offering networking possibilities.
ISU's Females in Technology organization provides opportunities for females in underrepresented career fields to network, participate in professional develop activities, and organize outreach and community service projects designed to attract more females to technology career fields. FiT is dedicated to supporting the enhancement of women in technology and engineering.
Interior Designers Embrace Amplification (IDEA)
The purpose of this organization is to promote the growth of interior design students; to establish relationships between design professionals and design students; to provide opportunities for community leadership and extracurricular activities; to promote and enhance educational development
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is a professional association that is dedicated to advancing technological innovation and excellence. It has more than 400,000 members in more than 160 countries. IEEE and its members inspire a global community through IEEE's highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and educational activities.
Institute of Packaging Professionals strives to be a central unifying force in packaging matters in North America, and to be a leading and authoritative packaging association-for the benefit of its members, the packaging community and society.
Sigma Lambda Chi is the International Construction Honor Society. The fundamental purpose of Sigma Lambda Chi is to provide recognition to outstanding students in construction curricula. Sigma Lambda Chi is the society that offers students the opportunity to be recognized locally and internationally for their academic accomplishments as a construction major. Professional Aviators and Administrators for Tomorrow
Professional Aviators and Administrators of Tomorrow is a pre-professional organization that seeks to provide out-of-classroom experiences for future aviators and administrators
The ISU chapter of Society of Automotive Engineers is a dedicated group of individuals with automotive and technical backgrounds that strive for groundbreaking automotive research, exciting projects that involve fabrication, restoration, and cutting edge technologies, and exploration of new forms of transportation
The Society for Human Resource Management includes a Wabash Valley Collegiate Chapter comprised of Indiana State University and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College.
Technology Educators Collegiate Association
TECA is a national organization for students pursuing a degree in Technology and Engineering Education. This organization works closely with the International Technology and Engineering Educators Association and participates in their national competitions. Being a member of this organization allows students to contribute to different professional forms and interact with other pre-professionals to get ideas and create opportunities.
The Technology Student Leadership Council (TSLC) is a student organization in the ISU College of Technology. The organization has several openings for students in technology programs. The TSLC gives participating members an opportunity to build leadership skills while serving in an advisory capacity for the COT.
The Tech Express Café is a student-operated business that is managed by the Technology Student Leadership Council in the College of Technology in collaboration with the Executive Express Café in the Scott College of Business. The Café gives participating members an opportunity to build their resumes, raise money for their COT student organizations, network with peers, and gain additional entrepreneur and leadership skills.
Team Sycamore Racing
Team Sycamore Racing is a student operated drag race team from Indiana State University. We race in the NHRA Division 3 series in the Super Comp class
