Histology is 'microscopic anatomy'. In this course, we study all the cells and tissues in the body at the microscopic level. Histology nicely complements the material studied in gross anatomy, and it provides a framework for studying pathological tissue in the second year of medical school. This course is required for all 1st year medical students at the Indiana University School of Medicine - Terre Haute.
