David, Emeriti Associate Professor of Theatre at Indiana State University, was the Production Manager and resident Lighting Designer. As a professor of theatre he taught Stagecraft, Technical Direction, CAD Drafting, Lighting Design and Stage Management. David will continue his tenure, for the near future, as the Producing Director of Crossroads Repertory Theatre (formally ISU SummerStage). David received his MA degree in technical direction/lighting design from California State University-Northridge. He began his teaching career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1975 and was at Indiana State University from 1980 to 2007. David was an active member of the United States Institute of Theatre Technology (USITT) for 30 years, where he ended his tenure as the Commissioner of the Technical Productions Commission and plans going back to doing workshop sessions at the national conferences in the near future. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of Local #49 of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IASTE) in Terre Haute, IN and works professionally as a theater consultant designing lighting systems for schools, churches and community theaters. As a lighting designer, David will continue to do lighting designs at professional, university, and community theaters across the country.
