





Michael Jackson is a lighting designer for theatre, dance, performance and architecture. He earned his M.F.A. in Design for Stage and Film from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2004. Michael completed his undergraduate training in Theatre at the University of Evansville in 2001. New York design credits include projects produced at HERE Arts Center, Dixon Place and P.S. 122. He served for three summers as Resident Lighting Designer for Crossroads Repertory Theatre. In 2010 his design for the Midwest premier of Edmund White’s Terre Haute was produced by CRT both in Terre Haute and at the Indiana Repertory Theatre. Other lighting designs have been produced at The Little Theatre on the Square, the Florida Studio Theatre, and the Cardinal Stage Company. He returns to ISU in 2011 for his fourth year as Assistant Professor, Resident Lighting Designer, and Production Manager. Michael is also the associate director of the Interdisciplinary Center for Media Technology in the Arts (ICMTA), which is housed in the ISU Department of Theater.
