Dr. Maughan has published over 15 articles on technological literacy, education, training, and
    communication and information system infrastructure development.

Dr. Maughan co-authored the textbook, Getting the Message: The Technology of Communication,
    and edited and wrote chapters in Technology Leadership: Communication and Information
    Infrastructure in Higher Education
.

Dr. Maughan has Made 20 professional presentations at national and international conferences.

achievements:

Award received "International Teaching Award," at West Virginia University, in 1995.

Former President of Training Consultants, Inc., a management consulting firm that focused on
    human resource and training issues for organizations such as U.S. Department of Energy, Saab Cars
    USA, Dominion Transmission Corporation (natural gas), Monsanto, National Drinking Water
    Clearinghouse, and General Electric.

Served as consultant for the U.S. Agency for International Development, the U.S. Information
    Agency, and the Asian Development Bank in India and Sri Lanka. Both domestic and international
    consulting projects involved strategic planning and trouble-shooting for workforce issues, as well as
    the development of print and mediated training and work assessment material.
