Technology Education Collegiate Association

The Indiana State University Technology Education Collegiate Association (TECA) is the professional organization for Technology and Engineering Education students attending Indiana State University.

Activities

Members participate in many activities through the organization including social events, university service, and professional networking. Some activities members have been involved in are Tech T.R.E.K., TECA regional problem-solving competitions, TECA International problem-solving competitions, Tech Showcase, Females in Technology Conference, Engineering-Technology Educators of Indiana Conference, IMSTA Super Mileage Challenge, and Technology, Pre-Engineering Competition Judges/Staff, and Engineering Education Rotunda Day.

Membership

All technology and engineering education students are eligible for membership in TECA. To become a member, students should attend “call out” meetings, which will be announced in all major classes, through the Global E-Mail system, and also through technology and engineering education major e-mail blasts from Dr. Harris at the beginning of each semester. In order to be an active member, student should fill out a membership form, pay their dues one time per year (dues for the organization are $10.00 per semester or $15.00 per year), maintain at least a 2.0 grade point average, and be actively involved group activities.

The International Technology Education Association (ITEA) is one of the flagship organizations for technology and engineering education professionals. Membership in ITEA is high encouraged for all students. Students can become members for only $35.00.
