Advanced manufacturing management

The advance manufacturing management degree provide students with the knowledge, and management skills needed to pursue a manufacturing career. Manufacturing, one of the leading industries in the United States, needs trained professionals who can improve processes and products in a increasingly competitive world market. Graduates are competent in both the technical and managerial aspects of advanced manufacturing and find employment as a quality specialist, manufacturing engineer, project engineer, supervisor/manager and a variety of jobs in the manufacturing industry.

career and technical education

The career and technical education (CTE) program prepares career and technical teachers for secondary schools and post-secondary schools (career centers, technical institutes, correctional facilities, and community colleges) as well as administrators at the post-secondary school level. The program provides knowledge and skills in planning instruction, managing learning environments, assessing student performance, and appropriate instructional strategies to students who have or will have extensive work experience in a technical or trade area.
CTE majors must have prior work experience or related technical college coursework in the field in which they wish to teach. Technical credits (24 hrs.) may be awarded based on relevant trade certificates and/or related technical college credit transferred from other degree programs. Students are advised to contact an advisor to check on the documentation needed to verify the technical credits.

The purpose of the human resource development for higher education and industry degree is to prepare professionals for education in post-secondary and proprietary institutions, industry, business, and government agencies. Graduates are competent in planning, conducting, and managing education, training, and other human resource development activities.

The packaging degree prepares students to become a professional in the challenging and demanding industrial environment of packaging engineering and management. Program instruction is designed to involve you in a combination of classroom learning situations and hands-on laboratory experiences. These activities allow you to explore the use and application of machines and test equipment, learn design techniques, and gain an understanding of the management function. The program utilizes new and well-equipped laboratories.

technology and engineering education

The technology and engineering education degree program prepares persons to teach in the areas of communications, construction, manufacturing, biotechnology, and transportation. The content is derived extensively from technology and the impact that technology makes on society and the environment. Persons desiring teaching licensure for the secondary schools of Indiana must meet the requirements of the technology and engineering education major under the teaching curriculum. The department has an articulation agreement with Ivy Tech Community College that allows for seamless transfer of credits to the technology education program of study. Click to learn more!

The technology management program is designed primarily as a degree completion transfer program to articulate with accredited AS and AAS programs in industrial and engineering technology related fields. The program focuses on the technology management skills to prepare students for career advancement in supervision and management. Graduates in the program are competent in supervision, and management. Graduates in the program are competent in supervision, quality control, production planning, workplace law, project management and a variety of other skills that prepare you for technology management.
