Ron Carpenter

Carpenter is a 1977 graduate of Indiana State with a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He received his master’s degree from ISU in 1982, also in criminology. Carpenter currently serves as the president and CEO of the Children’s Bureau of Indianapolis, Inc. He also works as a consultant for the Indiana Justice Task Force.

Carpenter has served as the executive director for Hamilton Centers Youth Services Bureau, state director for Host Homes of Indiana and executive director for Vigo County Homes for Children. He is also a faculty member of the Indiana Child Development Institute and has served as an adjunct faculty professor for the University of Indianapolis.

Carpenter is involved in Rotary Club, Speedway Exchange Club, St. Simons Church, Indiana Youth Services, ISU Alumni Council, Marion County Step Ahead Council, United Way of Central Indiana and the Greater Indianapolis Exchange Club Foundation.  Carpenter has been a member of the board since 2003.
