St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital of Williamsport, Indiana is a 16-bed acute care facility serving Warren, Fountain, Benton, Vermillion and Tippecanoe Counties. As the smallest rural hospital in Indiana, St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital is steadily growing in patient numbers and expanding its services. We know our strengths, value, and need to be within this community, and serve the people at large.

In 1944 a group of concerned citizens formed the Community Hospital Association, Inc. as a non-profit organization to operate the hospital. The hospital Guild organized with but one aim – to raise funds and perform services for the hospital. This aim continues today. Many individuals have worked for and shared with the hospital for the common good. In both support and service, Community Hospital was well named.

Students

St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital and Fountain and Warren County schools began a flagship program in the fall of 2001 to give junior and senior high school students an opportunity to explore a career in health care. St.Vincent Williamsport Hospital not only provides clinical experience through the hospital, but also a fully equipped classroom where students from four different schools attend class.

The Health Careers program offers students onsite medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and hands-on patient care.

Student areas of interest may range from physical therapy, radiology, medicine and nursing. This community partnership will not only provide education for local students, but also give our best and brightest an opportunity to return to healthcare jobs in Fountain and Warren counties.

Ambulance

St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital offers 24 hour emergency medical treatment, outpatient clinics and numerous hospital services in the communities and supports the overall health and well being of area citizens. Without the hospital, many people would be required to make lengthy trips to other cities for medical services.
