PCI Alumni Directory Project

PCI Alumni Directory Project

The Indiana State University Alumni Engagement Office has partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI) to bring Sycamore alumni a printed directory. We have assembled our records and now PCI will be making contact with alumni from April until October 2018 to confirm our information. Alumni will be contacted by PCI via a postcard, phone call, and e-mail regarding details which will allow you to update your contact information. At this time, you will also have the option to order a copy of the directory in several different formats and price ranges.

While you may be looking forward to updating your information and ordering your Sycamore alumni directory, you may also have questions about how your information will be handled after the directory has been printed. The Office of Alumni Engagement always has the best interest of our alumni and the greater Indiana State University community in mind when we make decisions to partner with companies. The security of your information is of the utmost importance. The directory project is an opportunity for you, as alumni, to connect with other alumni and for you to provide accurate contact information. During PCI’s outreach process, alumni will have the opportunity to purchase a directory and a Blue Card Club membership. Your purchases will be securely processed.

Please see the FAQ’s section for more information regarding the process of creating the Sycamore alumni directory. If you have received communication from PCI regarding the directory and have further questions, please contact our office at alumni@indstate.edu.

I received an email/postcard/phone call from a company asking for my personal information

They said they were working on a directory for Indiana State University Alumni Association. Is this a legitimate project, or is it a scam?

We have partnered with PCI (also known as Publishing Concepts) to produce our new Alumni Directory. PCI is a company located in Dallas, TX and Virginia Beach, VA that publishes directories for educational institutions, fraternities, sororities and military organizations across the nation. This project allows the Indiana State University Alumni Association to receive important updates to our database so we know more about our alumni and how we can better serve you and future alumni.

How do I know my information will only be used for directory purposes?

Indiana State University Alumni Association has a contractual agreement with PCI that states:

  • The names, addresses and information provided to PCI by Indiana State University Alumni Association for the publication of the Directory will be held confidential by PCI, except to the extent that they are utilized in, or in the preparation of, the Directory and except as required by court order or law.
  • The Directory will be made available only to alumni of Indiana State University Alumni Association. Upon completion of the project, PCI will return to Indiana State University Alumni Association any and all electronic files that have been supplied to Indiana State University Alumni Association or produced by PCI in connection with the production of the Directory.

I would like to verify and update my information. How may I do this?

If you have received a postcard or an email with a telephone number, you may call the number to speak with a dedicated representative for the Indiana State University Alumni Association project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed.

If you have received an email with an embedded link, you may go to the online site to review your information. If you have questions, you may call PCI’s customer service desk at 1.800.982.1590.

Can anyone purchase a directory?

The Indiana State University Alumni Association Directory Publication is available for sale only to Indiana State University Alumni Association alumni.

Can I choose some or all of my information not to be printed in the directory?

When you call to update your information, you can tell the representative what information you would prefer to have excluded. You may also communicate this information to the PCI customer service desk (1.800.982.1590) or to the Institution.

I ordered a directory/package over the phone and would like to cancel my order. How do I do this?
