What do you like most about being an Honors student?
My freshman year, the thing I liked the most about being an Honors student was living in Pickerl. I met my best friends there and had the best support system throughout the whole building. This past year, even though I did not live in Pickerl, I still had the amazing support system, but my favorite part about being an Honors student had to be participating in my GH 301 class on leadership. It really opened my eyes and allowed me to see things from a different perspective.
Leadership and involvement at STATE:
I am a member of Alpha Chi Omega where I serve as the VP of Facility Operations. I also have been a part of State Dance Marathon the past two years. Finally, I am a member of the President’s Scholars Association. I am also employed in the Education Abroad Office.
What advice do you have for incoming Honors students?
My best advice for Honors students is to get as involved as possible in the Honors College and community. The people in the Honors College want nothing more than for you to succeed and are always there to help so take advantage of those people!
