What do you like most about being an Honors student?

I love the connections I get to make with my peers and professors. You get a whole new support system of people who want you to succeed both academically and in life. Being an Honors student also has given me a sense of community while adapting to college life.

Leadership and involvement at STATE:

I am currently a University Honors Scholar. This is my second year being an Honors Peer Mentor. I was a campus tour guide for the 2022/23 school year.

What advice do you have for incoming Honors students?

Transitioning from high school to college is a huge adjustment that may seem frightening, but it’s important to remember that there are people all around you experiencing the same thing. Stepping out of your comfort zone will help you get to experience some awesome things while here at ISU.
