What do you like most about being an Honors student?
The thing I like most about being an Honors student is all the opportunities made available to us. Being an Honors student opens up a door to a new community with so many great resources and events.
Leadership and involvement at STATE:
I am a member of the Honors College and am a University Honors Scholar and Lilly scholarship recipient. Outside of the Honors College community, I have attended a few meetings for Colleagues Helping Implement Lifelong Learning. In the Spring Semester, I was also involved in the Masterworks Choir and the EcoReps #pledgeagainstplasticstraws. This year, I am a member of the Welcome Team through New Student Transition Programs.
What advice do you have for incoming Honors students?
The advice I would give to first-year students is to be willing to leave your comfort zone, and understand that your comfort zone is different than others. Do not compare your involvement to that of others, instead work to make yourself happy and successful.
