The Gifted and Talented Graduate Licensure Program is open to eligible students in the U.S. (including the District of Columbia and all U.S. territories). The program is closed to students residing in countries other than the U.S. except for U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution
- Hold an undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale
- Hold (or be eligible for) a State of Indiana Teaching License. If an applicant desires to add a gifted and talented teaching license to an existing teaching license from some state other than Indiana, contact Indiana State Online (below) for assistance. If an incoming graduate student does not possess a current teaching license, the student's advisor and the Graduate Committee may develop a program that will allow licensure according to departmental and state regulations. - The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is not required.
