Admissions Requirements

The online Master of Science in Technology Management (MSTM) Program is open to eligible students in the U.S. (including the District of Columbia and all U.S. territories). The program also is open to students in Canada (all provinces). The program is closed to students residing in countries other than the U.S. and Canada except for U.S. military and State Department personnel and their family members with APO/FPO addresses.

  • Hold a baccalaureate degree granted by a regionally accredited institution (for international students, a degree granted by a recognized institution). The most appropriate baccalaureate degrees will be ABET or ATMAE accredited or meet the curriculum standards of ABET or ATMAE.
  • Have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.7 in all undergraduate course work; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in the applicant's major field of study; or have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 in all courses taken at the graduate level.
  • International students must meet ISU requirements for English proficiency to be eligible for admission.
  • The GRE (Graduate Record Examination) is required. For unconditional entrance to the program, the applicant must score at the 40th percentile or above on the GRE Quantitative, Verbal, and Analytical categories.
