Virtual ribbon cutting marks official end of Hulman Center renovation

Indiana State University will release a ribbon-cutting video Thursday to mark the official reopening of Hulman Center after a two-year,

$50-million renovation. The video is available at, and ooks ahead while celebrating the arena’s past. Hulman Center opened in 1973 and is a multi-purpose facility for events including sports, graduations, and concerts.

The 10,200-seat facility has been host to countless ISU sports events, including the 1979 men’s basketball team that featured Larry Bird and finished second in the nation. Concert performers at Hulman Center have included Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, KISS, Van Halen, Tim McGraw, and Kenny Chesney.

WaterTower Estates creates ISU wine to support student scholarships

Indiana State University's Division of University Advancement has a new ISU-themed wine, State Sauvignon Blanc. The wine was created in partnership with Terre Haute-based WaterTower WineEstates Winery, with 20 percent of the proceeds supporting the university's Bridge the Gap Scholarships. The Woodward family founded WaterTower Estates Winery in 2016. Co-owner Tyler Woodward and his wife, Tiffany, are proud graduates of Indiana State University.

"We are proud to partner with WaterTower Estates to create an exclusive Indiana State University wine," said Rex Kendall, Executive Director of the ISU Alumni Association. "This is a unique way to continue developing support within our community and among our alumni while supporting scholarships for current students."
