The son of Laurie and James Lloyd, he graduated from Plymouth High School. During high school, Lloyd was involved in numerous activities, including National Honor Society, Key Club, Spanish Club, Marching Band all four years, Business Professionals of America (BPA), Student Council, Track Team, Ski Club and Pit Orchestra. He earned a number of awards, including the Tri Kappa Honor Student Award, a National Young Leadership Conference Nomination, the honor of attending the Kiwanis Leadership Summit, a fund raising award for Walk-a-thon, and the Drum Major Award from Principles.
