New Student Orientation

June - September 2021

In order to continue to help protect the health and well-being of our future Sycamores and their families, the Office of New Student Transition Programs has decided to hold our required three-part State Orientation program for first-year students in a combination of virtual and in-person formats, along with an additional, optional on-campus opportunity for both students and families in June.

State Orientation will consist of the following programs:

State Start-UpState EngageState Welcome and Family Orientation

State Connect (optional)

WCISBDC - Canva workshops

WCISBDC - Canva 101 and Canva 2.0

Canva 2.0 at 1:00 - 2:00 pm
Zoom online event

Canva is a marketing tool that can help create everything for your business from flyers to social media posts.

The Canva 101 workshop will walk through the basics of how to use the tool.

Canva 2.0 will dive deeper into creating content that will change your digital presence.

The purpose of the consortium is to enhance student learning and scholarship, record best practices in investment management among SMIF partners, provide a vehicle for student networking and exchange of ideas, and provide a permanent repository of relevant literature and recorded student experiences. The SMIF Consortium builds a community of institutions with a shared vision for student success and leadership in investing. The SMIF Consortium also establishes relationships with industry partners to assist in its primary goals of student education, research, and leadership.
