Tips for Advising LGBTQ Students

Advising Tips:

  • Out for Work is a component of the total educational experience of LGBTQ students, primarily in the areas of development, evaluation, initiation and implementation of career plans and opportunities. Out for Work offers programs, resources and services to assist students in the cultivation and enhancement of skills to explore career options, master search techniques and strategies and research employment opportunities.

    • Out for Work offers a certification specifically for Career Centers. After completion of the certification program, access is given to a resource library with materials for LGBTQ students that can be used by both students and the career center.
