The Career Center provides several ways for employers to become engaged on campus. Let a member of the Employer Relations Team know and we can work to create a recruiting plan that is right for you!
Career Fairs allow employers to meet with students and alumni in an informal setting. The fairs provide a great opportunity for employers to interact with a diverse group of students and alumni seeking full-time, internship, and co-op opportunities.
On Campus Recruiting
Looking for undergraduate/graduate students who are seeking full-time job or internship opportunities? Participating in On Campus Recruiting (OCR) through the Indiana State University Career Center is a great opportunity for employers to recruit and conduct interviews right here on campus. OCR can occur throughout both the fall and spring semester and there is no fee to participate. Employers interested in participating in OCR are encouraged to reach out to our Employer Relations team inquire about OCR.
If you have current openings for full-time jobs, part-time jobs, cooperative education, fellowships, volunteering opportunities or internships, post them with on Handshake. By using Handshake, you have the ability to post and edit your open opportunities, as well as take the posting down once the position is filled. ISU students will be able to search for your company and positions, and apply directly with you.
An information session provides employers with an opportunity to promote the company and its benefits, share information regarding their current job or internship opportunities and offer more information about their organization's culture. The sessions give employers an opportunity to interact with ISU students face to face and can be held in conjunction with a Career Fair or an On Campus Recruiting schedule. Information sessions can be a formal presentation or an informal open house conducted on campus or virtually, they are typically scheduled between 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday. You can determine how you set up the event.
If you are interested in hosting an information session, make your request early.
Hosting students at your organization is another opportunity to meet and interact with students face to face as well as show them what your organization is all about. These visits could consist of tours of your facility, presentations with employees, shadowing experience for students, or other activities to engage students at your place of business.
A classroom presentation could be an opportunity to talk to a specific major about your company or a position that you are hiring for. We can coordinate with faculty members in an academic area to organize a presentation for you in a classroom.
