Monday, May 22nd

8:30 – 10:00 a.m. – Congratulations – You're a Career Coach! Helping Your Students Harness the Butterfly Effect (Breakfast Provided) All Campus Partners Welcome!

Everyone who works with students has the power to influence and guide them. By knowing a few basic career coaching strategies and techniques you can keep your students engaged and interested in their activities and teach them to use their experiences to strategically shape their futures.

10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – Academic Advising + Career Coaching = the Ultimate GPS Tracker

Specifically for Staff and Faculty Academic Advisors, but all welcome.

Students routinely seek career advice from academic advisors when seeking the most "practical" major or the major which will set them on the "right" career path. But the question isn't "What are you going to do with this major?" — it's "What do you want to do? And how can whatever major you study support that?" This workshop will provide you with techniques and questions to help your students find their path.

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Faculty & Staff Lunch

Stay after your morning session or come prior to your afternoon session, all are welcome.

1:00 – 4:00 p.m. – Developing Career Wisdom in the Classroom (Repeated on Tuesday Morning)

Specifically for Faculty, Department Chairs, and Deans, but all welcome.

This program is designed for faculty who understand the value of career planning generally, but aren't necessarily sure how to support it when classroom time is so precious. Help your students see beyond the "practical" purpose of a class and platitudes about the value of higher education. Teach them to appreciate and articulate their academic wanderings: the value and interconnectedness of every course and every major.

Tuesday, May 23rd

9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Developing Career Wisdom in the Classroom (Repeated). Breakfast Provided.

Specifically for Faculty, Department Chairs, and Deans, but all welcome.
