Graphic Design - Graduate
The graduate Graphic Design program offers a comprehensive professional design education. The program emphasizes formal design values, preparing students to creatively apply advanced visual esthetics to problems of human communication. The computer graphics component allows for the integration of design and computing as well as in-depth exploration of interactive media, 3D modeling/rendering, and character animation. Students are directed on an individual basis according to their previous experience in art and design, and in conjunction with their own goals.
Graphic design and computer graphics may be combined in graduate course work. The arrangement of studio and lab spaces complements the professional tone of the graphic design program. A media area, Macintosh lab, and graduate studio spaces help foster a unique esprit de corps.
