The School of Criminology and Security Studies 50th Anniversay Celebration was held at the Sycamore Banquete Center.  Keynote speakers were Criminology Alum, Mr. Bob Casey and Mr. Dave Brant.  Other speakers included Director Woods, Provost Olsen, and Dean Roberts.

School of Criminology and Criminal Justice Career Fair.  Sycamore Banquet Center, from 10-2.  Students from all majors are welcome to attend.  Dress business casual, resumes welcome.

On April 5, 2022

The School of Criminology and Security Studies, along with the Admissions Department, hosted a Criminology preview day. There were 33 students and their families in attendance. They were able to meet faculty, tour the Cyber-Intel lab and Crime lab, eat lunch with faculty in a student dining hall, and tour campus.

On November 20, 2021

The School of Criminology and Security Studies and the Admissions Department hosted a Criminology preview day. There were 40 students and their families in attendance. They were able to meet faculty, tour the Cyber-Intel lab and Crime lab, eat lunch with faculty in a student dining hall, and tour campus.

February 11,  2020 HMSU Dede III. 

U.S. Secret Service presentation about USA Jobs.  A representative from the U.S. Secret Service will be on hand to walk students through the USA Jobs website, how to create profiles, update information and so on.  There will be two sessions in which students can attend.  One at 9:30-10:45 a.m. and the other 11:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. 

February 12, 2020 (Wed), 2-4:45 p.m., HMUSDede I,

We will feature a 3 person pane to examine the Matt Luecking Murder case.   Matt Luecking was a prominent local DJ and publice figure in the Wabash Vally who was murdered in 2016.  The panel will consist of the Vigo County Prosecutor, Lead Detective and Matt's brother, Eric Luecking.  This event is free and open to the public to attend, although seating is limited.       

February 25, 2020 Tuesday, HMSU Dede I, 11-12:15 (Guest Speaker to be announced)

March 2nd, 2020, HMSU Dede I, 10-10:50 a.m.  We will have a panel of a prosecutor and judge to discuss the judicial system, including courts, prosecution, victim rights and more.  This event is free and open to anyone who would like to attend. 

March 9, 2020, HMSU Dede I, 11-11:50,   ISU Criminology Alum, Warden Brown from the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility will give a lecture on his career path, ISU and what it is like to work in corrections.  This event is free and open to any one who would like to attend. 

April 1, 2020,  HMSU Dede II and III, The School of Criminology and Security Studies Career Fair, Dede II and III.  This event will feature approximately 40 agencies related to criminology.  Student from all majors are encouraged to attend and talk with agency representatives.  Students should dress business casual to business professional. Resumes are welcomed.  The fair will run from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.  Agenices who would like to attend can contact Travis.Behem@indstate.edu for registratoin information.  This event is free for all to attend. 

May, 13, 2020, HMSU Dede III.  ISU Criminology Alum Dan McDevitt, will provide an 8 hour Continuing Education class for Law Enforcement, at no charge to attendees.  Sponsored by School of Criminology and Security Studies.  please contact Travis.Behem@indstae.edu for more information.
