Student Travel Funding Award
The Department of Economics Student Travel Fund
Purpose: To provide support to economics majors for experiential learning opportunities requiring travel of more than 120 miles from campus. The travel fund can be used by students for travel to conferences, other academic activities supported by the University, study abroad, or service learning activities. Students are eligible to receive this award only once as a student at ISU and the award amount will not exceed $1,000.
Application Procedure: Economics majors are encouraged to plan ahead for experiential learning that will further their goals. Requests are currently being accepted for experiences during Spring, Summer or Fall 2024 and will be considered on a rolling basis. Students will need to comply with university travel regulations.
Send a request for a funding award with the following information to the chairperson of the Department of Economics:
- Name and 991 number
- Date(s) of Proposed Travel
- Purpose of Proposed Travel
- Estimated budget of proposed travel
- Other sources of funding for proposed travel (if any)
